First-generation module, 2013 only, Cadillac CUE exclusive. Limited features, rarely seen. Upgrade to 2.5 recommended.

2014-2015 module. No CarPlay/Android Auto. Slower boot time. Still common in trucks/SUVs. Many have failed by now.

2016+ module. Adds CarPlay/Android Auto, WiFi, faster processor. Modern system. Still some failures but generally reliable.

Can I upgrade from 1.1 to 2.5?

Likely yes on most Cadillacs. Requires complete kit. Contact WAMS with VIN.

Which is the best generation to have?

HMI 2.5 is modern and supports CarPlay. If you have 2.0, upgrading is worth considering when replacement is needed.
